If we were about to take up flying lessons, we would start with ground school, in order to ensure we had a solid base of understanding the laws of flight. In the same way, it’s important to ensure that we share a common understanding of the laws of wealth creation.
Let’s return to our two fundamental questions on the previous page. Suppose we were lucky enough to have the world’s leading wealth creators as our mentors, and we asked for their insights on the secret to building wealth.
Take the test, find your flow as an entrepreneur.
The definition of wealth
The first major insight that would emerge is that wealth is not defined as having a given amount of money. Wealthy people have learned that wealth is actually the ability to attract all the resources you need to achieve your goals. This means that even if they were to lose all of their money – and many wealthy people have – they can soon regain it, provided they have built true wealth.
This collective wealth advice would no doubt provide us with invaluable information. However, odds are you’d be confused, because each of these mentors would give completely different strategies to building wealth – and some may even contradict each other!
Yet, clearly these wealth creation strategies are successful – for our group of wealth creators. That’s the most important point for now – their strategies work for them because of who they are, not because of what they do.
Take the test, find your flow as an entrepreneur.
The concept of flow
And those strategies continue to work for them (and always will), because they’re in what we call “their flow”. The critical principles of “who they are” and “flow” are at the heart of Wealth Dynamics.
Actually, what’s really critical is “who you are”. Your Wealth Dynamics Profile helps define that for you. It defines your flow, your optimum strategies and your critical path to wealth. Many times, how we’re leading our lives is simply not consistent with “who we are”. Knowing your Wealth Dynamics Profile gives you absolute clarity on “who you are”, so you can now align “what you do” with “who you are” (not the other way around!).
For many people, what they do is stressful. That’s simply because they’re playing “off profile”. In fact, if what you’re doing is stressful, if it seems like hard work, then it’s a very safe bet that you’re playing “off profile” rather than “on profile”.
For many entrepreneurs, wealth creation (the moment defined as making money) is an up and down, almost zero-sum game (in which someone else has to lose in order for us to win). In this version of life, we make a lot… and then we lose it. Here’s the truth – we make a lot when we’re on profile, and we lose it when we’re playing the wrong (off profile) game.
So, your Wealth Dynamics Profile defines what you should be doing and what you should not be doing to create your own flow and your own wealth.
You’re about to discover that there are only eight ways to create true wealth, and each of these ways has certain rules that need to be followed to achieve optimal results.
In the next section, we’ll explain these eight paths to wealth, which will provide you the background knowledge to understand your profile results.

Seven phenomena of flow
As we play our natural game, and attract others who are playing the same game, we come across seven phenomena which accelerate us. Each of us has experienced one or more of these at times when we were in the flow. When you sustain this flow, these seven phenomena become magnified. In the coming section, we look at the different games each of the eight different wealth profiles play. As they each follow their natural path, they come across these same seven phenomena, accelerating their flow:
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. – Oliver Wendell Holmes
1. CRITICAL MOMENTS
These are the moments when the game is won or lost. How you recognize these moments and react in these fractions of time will define your life.
2. LEARNING CYCLES
Each game is in itself a learning cycle. The number of times you play and your cumulative learning will define your performance in the future critical moments.
3. FAILING FORWARD
There are two types of failure. One gives you learning, the other ends the game. Knowing how to differentiate between the two allows you to continue to play.
4. OPPORTUNITIES
There are two types of opportunities. One you create, one you attract. Knowing how to pass on one and how you attract the other is key to the level at which you play.
5. THE STRENGTH OF CERTAINTY
Your success in life has more to do with what we say no to than what we say yes to. Being certain of the game you play escalates your attraction.
6. THE POWER OF PERSEVERANCE
Continuing to play the same game, through good times and bad times, gives a level of confidence to others to play with you. We fail when we quit.
7. THE MAGIC OF MOMENTUM
Winning teams win and lose on momentum, Momentum comes from an ongoing combination of the previous six. Momentum is the ultimate attractor.
